VICTORIA DOCK AND LANDERNE PIER, CAERNARFON

 
VICTORIA DOCK

The Dock was opened in the Spring of 1997 and the following facilities are available:
  • 46 pontoon berths with electricity and fresh water.
  • A flap gate which maintains a minimum depth of 2 metres in the dock.
  • Access is approximately 3 hours either side of High Water.
  • Visitors' pontoon with public access.
  • Access to private berths is via a card operated security gate.
  • A limited number of trolleys are available at the base of the access ramp.
  • Sewage pump out facilities.
  • SOS stations are strategically located around the pontoons.
  • A listening watch is maintained on VHF Channel 80 whilst the dock is open.
  • The dock is ideally situated close to the town.

Operating hours are 0700 to 2300 during the summer and during daylight hours in the winter.

LANDERNE PIER

(53° 8.7'N 004° 16.5'W)
The Pier was completed in the June 1996 and has the following specifications:
  • It extends 37 metres out into the Menai Strait and is suitable for use by both pleasure and commercial vessels (up to 75 metres in length).
  • It consists of a landing stage with a frontage of 12.5 metres and a dolphin each side for taking larger vessels, giving an overall frontage of 40 metres.
  • The landing stage has a total of five levels to allow boarding and landing at any stage of the tide. There will be a minimum depth alongside of 3 metres.
  • It is an ideal place for tying up whilst waiting for the tide to get into the marina facility at the Victoria Dock, and also for obtaining stores from the nearby supermarkets and shops.
